Abstract :
In this paper, we study the opinion fashion based on a bounded-confidence opinion dynamics with weariness mechanism. The opinion of a group of agents fluctuates between two stubborn agents´ opinion values and demonstrates fashion phenomena because of the time-varying weariness bias in the confidence range. Each agent updates its opinion using other agents´ opinion values according to its confidence bound and its long-range opinion interactions. We show fashion phenomena with different confidence or weariness parameters, and provide simple analysis for the fashion characteristics.
