  • Abstract
Social media techniques and applications enable communication, coordination, collaboration, consultation and cooperation across vast distances and disciplines. They foster enterprise-wide awareness and facilitate novel approaches for propelling forward both internal and external messaging interactions. Social networking methods enable infusion of motivational strategies that may serve to foster workforce harmony and help hurdle a variety of managerial interface challenges. They can help bridge differences in viewpoints among stakeholders with varying levels of knowledge and expertise. For example, they can affect managers interactions with employees, corporate personnel with clients, and marketing departments with potential consumers. Information can be shared and gaps narrowed among team members and across practitioner and academic divides. Emerging trends and interesting insights are presented in the resources suggested below.
