Abstract :
Gates are all over the place. Years ago, I had a company called Gates Are Everywhere. I meant that. Industrial complexes have gates for parking, to enter the plant, to get to tools, to protect projects. Trucking companies use them to enter their terminals, to park trailers both empty and loaded, and even to drop and hook trailers in remote areas. Gated communities have multiple entries/exits to protect their residents, which may be manned by a guard. Such gates have to accommodate the members of the communities, the vendors that serve them, and visitors that arrive. Many parking lots have special requirements for employees, members, and visitors.
