Abstract :
Connected vehicles and driverless cars are bringing an end to road transportation as we know it today. Autonomous cars will gain access to other vehicles´ sensors; advanced navigation systems will enable greener and more efficient driving; and cars will form dynamic clouds, enabling a new generation of on-demand services in the fashion of today´s cloud computing. Here, the author takes a glimpse at the road ahead.
