Abstract :
The author addresses topics like navigation theory and user profiling. He explains how to keep frames from opening within themselves and make framed pages print reliably. The book explores other topics, including GUI interactivity, page layout and formatting techniques, and various Web technologies and their effect on site design. Some of the basics??Web-design methodologies, usability, types of Web sites, navigation theory and practice, linking, search facilities, text handling, and using color and images??are also part of this book. Though tending to shy away from specific tools, the author does discuss Web technologies (such as Extensible Markup Language, cascading style sheets, and JavaScript), cookies, server-side scripting, multimedia, site delivery and management, and site evaluation.
