  • Abstract
    A new optical technique is demonstrated to measure the power spectrum of the intensity of light, i.e. the radio frequency spectrum, based on third-order optical nonlinearities and an optical spectrum analyser. A diagnostic with an 800 GHz 3 dB bandwidth is demonstrated and used to characterise various optical sources.
