Abstract :
A new systolic array for realising an arbitrary order recursive digital filter suitable for high speed filtering is presented. Besides being modular, regular, and having nearest neighbour interconnections, the proposed array has slightly faster response time, reduced number of basic cells, and other possible advantages such as faster throughput rate, and reduced number of delay elements as compared to those of a previous realisation method.
