  • Abstract
We implement a set of scalar integral equations that govern the electromagnetic scattering from a two-dimensional cavity embedded in an infinite, perfectly conducting ground plane. The cavity may be empty or filled with a dielectric material. We solve the equations via the method of moments for an incident plane wave in TE polarization and compute the monostatic echo width. We give an error estimate of the method and compare our results with those found by a published integral equation solver and a finite-element method scheme.
