Abstract :
Ar plasma treatment effect on the electrical conduction of FEP was examined at high temperatures. Conduction current in the treated FEP was much larger than that in the untreated FEP at high temperatures. The authors proposed a model to explain the observed high conductivity of the plasma-treated FER In this model, charge carrier generation centers are produced by the plasma treatment and these centers are thermally dissociated to positive mobile ions with an activation energy of 0.7 eV. These positive charge carriers are responsible for the high conductivity in the plasma-treated FEP at high temperatures
