Abstract :
A new monolithic LC voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) is described. The circuit does not require any external components and an experimental version realized a 200-MHz tuning range at 1.8 GHz. On-chip inductors are used to fabricate the LC tuned circuits used in the oscillator
