Abstract :
This paper describes a Career Education Seminar, presented once a week during the Junior year in the new curriculum developed in the Electrical Engineering department of the University of Maine at Orono. The primary purpose of the seminar is to provide students with detailed information about careers in the various areas of Electrical Engineering so that they will be able to choose appropriate electives and a senior project for the specialty of their choice. Details of the seminar structure and a brief description of the Career Education movement are given in the paper.
