Abstract :
Images of radiation due to plasma interaction with radiation due to plasma-limiter interaction limiting surfaces in the Large Helical Device are presented with an explanation of the diagnostic and the data analysis technique. The images are made using an 10×14 pixel infrared imaging video bolometer with a 15-Hz frame rate and a sensitivity of 0.5 mW/cm2. Data from experiments using a wall limiter and an insertable limiter show the localization of the radiation source near the limiting surface
