Abstract :
A new dual-mode wide dynamic range CMOS image sensor is designed, which is capable of two different operating modes: logarithmic and floating point mode. The proposed sensor can choose the operating mode manually or adaptively. A prototype pixel is designed and tested with standard 0.5 μm CMOS process.
