  • Abstract
Currently, there is no commercial device capable of stopping the outlet of the intraocular biological fluid during minimally invasive ophthalmic surgery. While solving this problem is not simple, in this article we describe the realization of a novel device capable of limiting the problem. In this research, a novel drop-free trocar that allows the cessation or reduction of the outflow of vitreous humour during a typical minimally invasive ophthalmic surgical procedure has been designed and realized.
