Abstract :
Six sigma, like any other initiative, requires senior management commitment and involvement. Hence, the role of the six sigma champion is critical to the success of the initiative. This paper describes the multi-faceted role of the six sigma champion and the important qualities he and his appointed black belts must possess to ensure that the promised benefits of six sigma are delivered.
