Abstract :
Correlation parameters that are important for spreadspectrum communications applications are evaluated. The optimal phases (with respect to autocorrelation) are obtained for certain binary shiftregister sequences, including all maximal-length sequences of periods 31, 63, 127, and 255. Selected Gold sequences of period 127 and Kasami sequences of period 255 are also considered. Examples are given to illustrate the use of these data in the selection of signature sequences for spread-spectrum multiple-access communications systems.
