Abstract :
The paper presents a new approach to dynamic voltage security assessment. This method is based on fuzzy-set theory, and is developed by means of an example system. The large-scale nonlinear voltage instability assessment problem is finally reduced to a fuzzy index, of which the sign is used as a classifier. The preliminary results show that this method can provide high accuracy, and is promising for on-line use because of its fast nature
