Specific video scenes enlarged and displayed on mobile phone set

A new system for selectively displaying fighting scenes of Sumo matches on a live HDTV video stream was built for the mobile phone set. The specific scenes of the Sumo matches were picked up, enlarged, and displayed in real-time on the QVGA display of a mobile phone set. The decision on the start fighting on the Sumo match scene was made by the Mahalanobis distance method applied to the number of the motion vectors toward left or right in each of the respective blocks on a frame. The decision on the end of Sumo match scene was made by the total motion vector magnitudes on the "end of Sumo match" frame.
