Abstract :
This paper presents a new way to build, maintain and improve routine phonetic systems using the concept of automatas. An adaptive automata tool known as Adaptools was used to show how automatas work on phonetic routine systems. Phonetics rules for Brazilian Portuguese were implemented using this tool and later, the rules were modified and other news were added to the automata to show the complexity to improve and maintain the system. The rules were tested using specifics inputs to validate the functionality of the system.
