Abstract :
The performance and application of a 20 Mbit/s PIN-GaAs IC optical receiver is described. Designed for TPON, the receiver combines high sensitivity, -50 dBm, with CMOS logic level and peak detector outputs in a single package consuming less than 190 mW.
