Abstract
The history of communications in the Navy has shown the importance of the role it plays in conducting military operations. A general overview of Navy communications is discussed, providing the framework for the new developments for the 1980´s. Discussion focuses on three major areas: strategic, long-haul two-way, and tactical communications.
