Abstract :
Split-conductor current sensors for measurement of 60 Hz alternating currents have electronic load termination to improve the sensor´s linearity. AC currents from 0.1 A to 300 A, with a magnitude error of 0.2-2% of reading at fundamental frequency, and a phase error of 0.1°-2° of -25°C to +75°C. H-compensated current sensors have shown a magnitude error of 0.1% of point and a phase error of 6 min of point in a 150/1 current dynamic range. Current ratios of more than 50000:1 have been achieved. Sensor power dissipation was less than 1 W at 100 A
