Abstract :
A comparative study of the response functions is made, with emphasis on the Jonscher and Dissado-Hill functions and the influence of their parameters is analyzed. The problems of internal discharge and recovery voltage in absorptive dielectrics are treated using the polarization theory. A numerical procedure to compute both internal discharge and recovery voltages for any response function is proposed. Some results are presented and compared with experimental values.
