Abstract
In this paper, an automatic retransmission request (ARQ) supportive earliest deadline first (A-EDF) scheduling scheme is proposed for real-time traffic over heavily multiplexed wireless tandem networks. Results show that a reduced delay bound violation (DVB) probability can be obtained by using the proposed A-EDF scheduling algorithm and call admission control (CAC) scheme, compared to using earliest deadline first (EDF), coordinated EDF (CEDF), or global-EDF (G-EDF).
