Abstract :
The ITT 1210 Class 5 digital switching system has a distributed control architecture with inherent remote line switching capability. A unique common channel signaling scheme permits control and supervision of these remote units. Testing and maintenance capabilities are, in general, identical and equivalent to those available in the 1210 host office. The Technical Assistance Center provides an extra overview level of backup maintenance for on-line assistance to personnel in any operational 1210 system.
