Abstract :
The Finite Element Method (FEM) is often used in numerical models of multimode cavities loaded by a lossy dielectric material, and of unspecified geometric shape. The major drawback of the three-dimensional FEM is that it requires a very powerful numerical capacity and is an enormous drain on computer time. In this work we will present a mixed method using the two-dimensional FEM with modal analysis; this method can be used for many case studies and we use it with a standard desk-top personal computer. The advantage of this method is its calculatory rapidity and the simplicity of the required computer resources
