Abstract :
The purpose of this paper is to present an easy method for analyzing the operating characteristics of a separate-type transformer connected to an external circuit including elements such as batteries, resistances, and diodes. This method, a combination of two- and three-dimensional finite element methods, has been applied to a transformer connected to a compact battery charger to obtain its output characteristics. The utility of this method has been verified by comparing the measured results
