Abstract :
This paper describes a series of benchmark experiments for studying the leakage flux pattern that is created above an annealed steel plate when a corrosion pit is present, using finite elements. Two different defect profiles have been chosen in order to demonstrate that it is possible to determine the shape of the corrosion pit from the calculated leakage flux pattern
