Abstract :
This paper describes the software architecture of a PC-based DAB receiver that allows for a ´live´, continuous stream of DAB audio frames to be channeled from the receiver to the PC via the USB, and then over the network to any other device connected to the network. The techniques used to achieve this continuous stream are discussed, as well as the difficulties inherent in attempting to do this on a non-real-time, multitasking operating system
