Abstract
Four- and six-pole parametric motors were tested to investigate uses as low speed multipolar motors generating high torques. The four-pole parametric motor adopted toroidally wound Fe-Si plates in exciting magnetic circuits, and operated without a load at 1450 rpm. Though the output Po and efficiency ¿ were small, they should be greatly improved with better motor designs. A six-pole motor, built on the same principles, was successfully operated at an unloaded speed of 850 rpm, for a synchronized speed of 1000 rpm.
