Abstract :
An orthogonal core with a DC control circuit was constructed and experiments conducted on a variable-output transducer. Nearly sinusoidal output waveforms were obtained for certain equivalent circuit parameters. Holding the input voltage constant, the output voltage varied nearly linearly, from 28 V to 5 V, with the DC control circuit current, at the same time maintaining a constant phase difference. The output voltage did not reach zero because of the effects of leakage magnetic flux and high harmonic current components.
