Abstract :
Numerical analysis was used to obtain the characteristics resulting from connection of a filter to the input of magnetic frequency triplers, which utilize the nonlinear characteristics of magnetic cores to obtain triple-frequency outputs. The magnetization characteristic of the circuit saturation reactor was approximated by two connected straight lines; voltage and load characteristics were found using mode and vector analyses. The input voltage characteristics, load characteristics, and input current waveforms for assumed circuit parameters are presented.
