Abstract :
Although progress has been made in clarifying the details of magnetization processes in MnZnFe ternary ferrite single crystals at room temperature, little is known of the temperature dependences of crystal properties. The changes with temperature (liquid nitrogen to 300 K) in magnetostriction in the ≪100≫ and ≪111≫ directions, in the initial permeability, and in the magnetic anisotropy constants K1 and K2. Contrary to expectations, however, the value of K1 was not the only factor related to the initial permeability maximum, and a simple explanation of the temperature characteristics in terms of anisotropy alone is not possible.
