Abstract
A procedure for an automatically controlled calibration of a network analyzer is presented. The basic element is a switching network to realize the calibration standards, the switching network forms a part of the analyzer. To characterize the relative scattering parameters of the switching network an application of an occasional precalibration is necessary, in contrast to commercially available procedures like TRM the effort of the new calibration technique is decreased. The measurement results are as accurate as using the TRM method
