Abstract
A new approach for the implementation of programmable gain amplifiers (PGAs) in the 10-100 MHz range is presented. The technique relies on the use of a high-performance transconductance amplifier and high-linear degeneration MOS resistors. Results for a 3.3 V-0.35 μm design show a programmable gain from 0 to 16 dB with dynamic range better than 60 dB over the whole range.
