Abstract :
X-ray diffraction, magnetization and Mössbauer effect have been measured for vapor quenched Fe-Zn alloys. The single bcc alloys are obtained for the Zn concentration between 0 and 60 at%. They are ferromagnetic at room temperature and their magnetic moment decreases with the increase in Zn concentration, slightly deviating upwards from the simple dilution law. The broad resonance line of Mössbauer spectrum indicates the wide distribution of hyperfine fields of these alloys.
