            Abstract :
Based on the DCT and DST-II, we present a new transform that provides a symmetrical performance for positively and negatively correlated Markov (1) signals (first-order stationary Markov process). A fast computational algorithm is presented. A sufficient condition of symmetrical transforms is also provided, and the idea of constructing the discrete cosine-sine transform (DCST) is then generalized to the Karhunen-Loeve transform (KLT) of any Markov (1) signal
