Abstract :
A magneto-optical bandpass filter composed of a set of Faraday rotators with polarizers inserted between them is proposed. A material analysis for the construction of the filter is performed, and the behavior of the filter is investigated for the most promising magneto-optical materials. It is shown that bandwidths in the range of a few nanometers to tens of nanometers may be achieved depending on the material used in the filter construction
