Abstract :
The dynamic characteristics such as carrier-to-noise ratio (CNR) of single-layer TbDyFeCo films were studied along with films in which the rare-earth elements Ho and Er were substituted for Dy. The ¿K values of TbDyFeCo films were sufficiently large for high rate read/write applications. The ¿K and the Hc values of the TbHoFeCo and TbErFeCo films fell within the range of conventional usage.
