Abstract :
The matched filter bound (MFB) for the two-path channel derived in Mazo (1991) is extended to Rayleigh fading channels with an arbitrary number of time-discrete paths. General results on antenna diversity reception and communication over correlated-path fading channels are presented. Examples of the MFB for several practically useful channels are given.<>
