Abstract :
Si was added to high-permeability Ni-Fe permalloy with approximately 38% Ni to increase the ac magnetic characteristics and the effects on the magnetic properties and resistivity were investigated. It was found Hc is improved, but the Br and Bm characteristics were worse for samples annealed at 1300°C. The effective permeability μe of samples annealed at 1000°C and at 1200°C showed a similar tendency to decrease over the measured frequency range of 1 kHz to 100 kHz.
