Abstract :
The dependence of magnetic properties on sheet thickness of polycrystal thin-gauge silicon-iron sheets was studied under application of tensile stress. It was confirmed that iron loss decreases as crystal orientation improves at low thicknesses. Application of high tensile stress in the thin-gauge range does have an effect in reducing hysteresis loss.
