Abstract :
Plastic flow, field-induced anisotropy and atomic migration in Co-base amorphous alloy films are discussed. Field-induced anisotropy is thought to be caused by atomic pairing, however it is pointed out that the increase in the atomic volume of nonmagnetic additive elements, observed in these experiments, could indicate that atomic rearrangement is suppressed and the anisotropy declines. The addition of Ta also supports this because it increases the heat stability of the permeability.
