Abstract :
The relationship between the magnetic characteristics of a saturable reactor core and its transient response in converters controlled by magnetic amplifiers is presented. The linear operating region in the converters depends on the permeability ¿s in the saturation region of the saturable reactor core. It was found that excellent transient response can be obtained by using a low ¿s core.
