Abstract :
As the limited resolution and small screen restrict the amount of information to be displayed on PDAs (personal digital assistants), compressed display techniques can be effectively used. This paper presents the development of an intelligent compressed display system for 240×320 resolution PDAs that are most commonly used model. The proposed system automatically generates compressed documents fit to the 240×320 resolution from any size input data. Through experiments with extensive real world dataset, the proposed compression system has been shown to be promising.
