Characteristic Test of Static Power Transmission on the Face-Type Permanent Magnet Torque Coupling

A characteristic test of the face-type magnetic coupling static power transmission system was performed to obtain basic data on a permanent magnet torque coupling. It was found that facing poles and adjacent poles have to be unlike for maximum transmission torque. It was easy to determine the relation between the phase angle after pull-out and the transmission torque in this static test, something which is very difficult in a dynamic test.
