Abstract :
Simple necessary and sufficient conditions are derived for a polynomial set with coefficients in a diamond to be strictly aperiodic. A procedure for obtaining the maximal diamond containing only the coefficients of strictly aperiodic polynomials is also given. The results and procedure are shown to be applicable to a wider class of regions in parameter space
