Abstract :
Multi-octave photonic synthesis of high spectral purity RF signals is demonstrated using a configuration based on two distributed feedback (DFB) lasers. It is shown how a 4 to 14 GHz reference source can be used to generate 4 to 60 GHz modulated optical signals by using frequency modulation sideband injection locking techniques
