Abstract :
Variation of switching characteristics with composition in (Fe1-xCox)75Si10B15 amorphous wire was studied to determine the optimal composition for use as a pulse voltage generation element. Composition was found to be optimal in the neighborhood of X = 0.5, at which a pulse value was almost 2.7 times that of Fe-based wire. Thus high magnetization is not necessarily needed to obtain a high pulse voltage.
