Abstract :
The authors present some results from an investigation into the solution of the power flow equation, in which existing fast algorithms and their robustness properties were studied with respect to a variety of conditions on the network, especially in the presence of high r /x ratio lines. The main aim is to present a new class of algorithm, related to the XB and BX algorithms
